When Moët Hennessy asked us to design an invitation for the 50th Hennessy Gold Cup, we knew we needed to create a luxury print piece that upheld the sumptuousness and grandeur of the brand.
The invitation was gold-foiled by hand and debossed onto thick, GF Smith card. It featured a UV varnished motif matching the design on a Hennessy cognac bottle on the front of the invitation, with the type gold foiled and de-bossed to create a striking effect.
To mark the 50th anniversary, the invitation design featured the name of every winning horse on the back of the invite. An inclusive idea, this inherently links Moët Hennessey to the event. Again, all gold foil type is de-bossed.
Following the success of this, we were then asked to create two more print projects for Moët Hennessy. Firstly, a piece that celebrated a Dom Perignon collaboration with fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, then, to help Moët Hennessy promote its collection of fine wines to retail buyers and journalists, we designed an invitation in the style of an airline ticket to an event at which guests could "discover the flavours of the world".
What we did:
– Luxury invitations design
– Techniques including foiling and debossing
– Print format and finishing
