In a bid to improve visitor numbers, we were asked to redesign Westminster Abbey’s website. The project developed into a comprehensive brand refresh and brand implementation project.
Looking at how the Abbey differed from other attractions in the highly competitive London tourist market, we developed a brand that brought grandeur and historical longevity to the fore.
To ensure the brand integrated with the modern world, we kept the historical crest but re-drew it to work online and at different scales. This we combined with a new, elegant typeface to create a strong, traditional logo with a vibrant, slightly modern twist.
To capture the visual splendour of the Abbey we art directed its official photographer to create an inspiring new suite of images.
Following our work, visitor numbers and revenues have increased and we continue to work with Westminster Abbey today.
