As a 2007 spin-out from Imperial College London, Novacem develops the carbon negative cement set to transform the global construction industry. Its goal is widespread adoption of its innovative cement technology and it needed communications support to help attract investment.
As a relatively recent startup Novacem had not yet had a chance to make a name for itself. With this is mind we introduced a strapline clearly communicating what it did. Around this we developed a brand emphasising the company’s innovation and green credentials, as well as a comprehensive PR and marketing toolkit to generate awareness.
Novacem has subsequently raised two rounds of funding, including investments from LaFarge and Laing O'Rourke. It’s also now listed in the Global Cleantech 100.
